These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Skywalk mobile app ("the app"), developed by Esra Mülkpınar. By downloading or using Skywalk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Skywalk on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
The app
Skywalk shows a simulated view of the night sky — stars, constellations, planets, the Sun, the Moon, and the Milky Way — based on your location, the time, and your phone's sensors. It is free, has no ads or in-app purchases, and does not require an account.
Accuracy & safety
Positions of celestial objects are calculated and may differ slightly from reality depending on sensor accuracy, compass calibration, and other factors. Skywalk is for education and enjoyment — do not use it for navigation or any purpose where errors could cause harm. When stargazing, stay aware of your surroundings, especially at night and near roads, water, or cliffs. Never look at the Sun directly or through any optical instrument.
Notifications
Meteor shower alerts are optional reminders based on typical annual peak dates. Actual activity and visibility depend on weather, moonlight, and location, and we do not guarantee any particular viewing conditions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, redistribute, or resell the app or its content, except as permitted by law;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law;
- use the app in any way that is unlawful or that could harm the app or others.
Third-party content
Star data comes from the HYG Database (CC BY-SA). Constellation figures are by Johan Meuris / Stellarium (Free Art License). Milky Way: NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio (Deep Star Maps 2020). Gaia DR2: ESA/Gaia/DPAC. These remain subject to their own licenses. All other content, design, and the Skywalk name belong to Esra Mülkpınar.

Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.
Termination
We may suspend or end access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
Apple App Store users
If you downloaded Skywalk from the Apple App Store, these Terms are an agreement between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product claims, third-party intellectual property claims, or warranty claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Standard License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
